At the Forefront
Support groundbreaking scientific research and training
As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we work toward a better world by connecting discovery and invention to society.
- Support for new Faculty hires
- Expand Graduate programs
- New state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure
- Seed funding to support new ideas, and industry collaboration
Our science students and faculty deliver cutting-edge fundamental and applied research that can change our world. This research acts as a springboard for UM graduates allowing them to impact society, the economy and the future, in sometimes unimaginable ways. Our graduates who have done just that continue to grow and we are justifiably proud of our first Nobel Prize winner in 2019. Maintaining a strong and growing research environment requires investments in faculty, graduate programs and laboratory infrastructure. To stay at the forefront, we also need seed funding for new ideas, innovation and industry collaborations.
