Research Involves: Physical inorganic, organometallic, materials, and bio-inorganic chemistry. Exploratory synthetic chemistry of transition-metal macrocycles: preparation, spectroscopy and applications of new phthalocyanines, porphyrines, and analogues. Compounds for molecular electronics, light-harvesting and catalysis. Modeling of molybdopterin and tungstopterin enzymes: synthesis, characterization, oxygen atom transfer reactivity, and electron-transfer kinetics in model of molybdenum and tungsten complexes.
