New students enrolled in the Faculty of Science had a great time at the orientation day organized by the Science Students Association, (SSA), in collaboration with a number of other groups on September 3, 2019.

The day included panel discussions from both peers, professors, student advisors, and industry representatives including: David Owasi (David Aplin Group), Dr. Christie Rampersad (Winnipeg physician), Tracie Maconachie (BAM). This was the third time the SSA has held an orientation day dedicated to welcoming direct entry students enrolled in the Faculty of Science. Many thanks to all the student volunteers who spent months planning the event which by all accounts was a huge success!

Next, undergraduate students will participate in LabTrek, on Saturday, Sept. 13. Also organized by the Science Students Association, LabTrek is a full day of presentations and lab tours. Students will have an opportunity to explore the exciting undergraduate research and careers in STEM related fields.
