The University of Manitoba’s STEAM initiative puts the ART in STEM! (Science, Technology, Engineering, ART, Mathematics). STEAM uses the arts to engage scientific concepts and communicate them through play, experimentation, and delight. Our goal is to develop and facilitate student art-science collaborations at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Science.
Leveraging the power of the visual arts to more effectively communicate the deep truths and underlying nature of the sciences, our approach engages the inherent creativity of the scientific disciplines; focusing on fun, spectacle laden, hands on, physical works. Great science thinks outside the box! Contact: Seema Goel, Outreach and STEAM Coordinator.
