At the Faculty of Science, the Science Students Association together with the Office of the Dean plan events that offer a fun opportunity not only to meet fellow students but engage with professors, and network with alumni to discover what a future in science might hold.

Orientation Activities are planned for: September 2018

Hire a Student – Become a Co-op Employer

The Faculty of Science Co-operative Education Program is a planned learning process that integrates classroom study with paid work experience. Undergraduate Co-op students alternate academic terms with work terms in positions relevant to their major field of study. Co-operative Education blends theory and practice for the student and strengthens ties between participating employers and The University of Manitoba. The Science Co-op Program has helped many employers meet their temporary staffing needs. You’ll have access to enthusiastic and talented students for 4 or 8 month work terms.

Students in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Genetics and Statistics are available through the Science Co-op Program.

The success of the Science Co-op Program depends on the work experience provided by our Co-op employers. We thank our Co-op employers for the important contribution they make to our program.

If you are considering hiring a Co-op student, please contact us. We would be happy to discuss the Science Co-op Program and how it might fit your hiring needs.
